Indian Head Massage

Head massages originated as part of the ancient Indian practice of medicine, called Ayurveda, based on balancing the body, mind and spirit to promote a long life. It was used by Indian women to maintain the condition of their long dark hair and to help protect it from the sun. Oils such as olive, almond, coconut and henna were applied to the scalp and pulled through the hair. Herbs and spices were often added to the oils to improve the smell of the oil and to add to the overall therapeutic effect of the treatment.

Treatment

Indian Head Massage is a form of relaxation massage that focuses on the face, head, neck, shoulders, upper back and upper arms that are important energy centres within the body. This form of massage is very relaxing, helps improve circulation, and has a balancing effect as it helps to release stress and tension, creating a sense of peace and well-being. I do the treatment whilst you are lying down and will focus on areas of concern at your preferred pressure.

Indian Head Massage in Hove, East Sussex

“The Indian Head Massage I had from Corrina was amazing! She applied just the right amount of pressure and very intuitively knew all the right places that needed working on, in fact she kept getting right to the spot! I felt in very safe hands. It was relaxing but a deep treatment at the same time, and I felt very energised afterwards. I didn’t want it to stop, I could literally have had it all over again!”
